Surrounded by 30.000 square meters of trees with typical olive-grove from Tuscan hills, here it is the ancient "Villa Cappugi", built at the end of the XVII century. It has the name of "Cappugi" a noble family of Pistoia that built the country-house and owned it till 1987, year in which it was bought by the actual owner, who has rebuilt it, restoring its original beauty: the "cotto fiorentino" floors, the vaulted ceiling with fresco paintings, the attic with secular beams at sight. The country-house offers the quietness of the countryside remaining near to the ancient town centre, easily reachable by bike in 5 minutes or bus (bus stop at 50 meters). In the neighbourhood, only 12 km. away, the famous tourist-thermal resort, "Montecatini Terme". The famous "Versilia" location at 40 minutes by car. The city of Florence at 15 minutes by car. To an hour of car, the splendid zone of the wine "Chianti Classic" with the characteristic Restaurant "Caratello", where you will have the appreciate one surprised to receive in homage the Chianti wine in the typical classic "fiaschetto impagliato" of the Tuscany, or the famous one vinsanto, sweet wine traditional single product in Tuscany. The town of Pisa at 30 minutes by car. And only 15 minutes by car needed to reach the town of Lucca. The main hall in the ground-floor is used for special events like congresses, cultural events, banquets, dance parties. Still in the ground floor the bar (which doesn't serve alcoholics) serves both the country-side and external sport facilities. Next to the bar, a little hall where breakfast is served, with an ancient marble fireplace perfectly preserved. On the opposite side, still next to the bar, a little hall with a big rustic fireplace refined with beams and a big television featuring satellite channels. The ancient hayloft and the farmhouse adjoining to the country-house is now an elegant and comfortable restaurant, rebuilt preserving the original architecture. You can enjoy typical dishes of the rustic Tuscan cookery of XVII century or dishes of the big Italian tradition; T-bone steak, Tuscan grain ("farro"), tunafish of Chianti, sheep's milk cheese seasoned in ditch, "extra vergine" olive-oil and wine from our hills, bread baked in wood-burning oven only. Our characteristic suites are all inside the country-house, furnished with accuracy to every detail, remembering the history and the Tuscan tradition of poor art. The country-house is provided with an elevator. All suites feature a delicious sight; from mountains to hills,countryside and the town, where Cathedral of Pistoia stands out. In the 3 hectares of park surrounding the country-house, there are, at the guest's disposal: two courts with red ground and two with synthetic grass which can become a soccer fields when needed. A beautiful pool large 12.5x25 meters surrounded by a big lawn with olive trees. Large areas for childrens. The "Villa Cappugi Club" holds 200 people inside and 200 on the outside so we can organize weddings, congresses and special meetings. Pets are not admitted. The country-house doesn't offer services for the disabled yet, we are in progress of conforming ourselves. |
